Antibody and Protein Production

Mammalian Protein Expression

Biosettia use human embryonic kidney (HEK) 293 cells and Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cells for recombinant protein production.  The proteins derived from the codon-optimized DNA sequences are either transiently expressed thru plasmid transfections or stably produced via antibiotic or glutamine synthetase (GS) selection.

The standard project outline:

Step 1: vector design, codon optimization, gene synthesis, cloning, sequencing confirmation.

Step 2: transfection, protein expression and purification from 50-100ml of serum-free medium.

Step 3: BCA and SDS-PAGE

Antibody/Protein Conjugation

  • Biotinylation

  • Horseradish peroxidase (HRP) conjugation

  • Fluorescent dye conjugation

ELISA

We help customers to set up and optimize the quantitative or semi-quantitative assays using either the in-house antibodies or commercially available antibodies or ELISA kits.
